General Rules
Don't be a dick.
I shouldn't have to say this, but just be nice. Remember the Golden Rule, yo. If there's a problem, solve it over PMs. And if it can't be solved over PMs, contact a moderator. Or just be like normal people and get over it.
Don't discriminate. Homophobic, racist, sexist remarks: there is never a reason you should treat someone worse than you do than someone else because they are different. It is absolutely not tolerated, not to mention wrong.
Don't spam.
Spamming as in posting the same message over and over again, bumping dead threads, advertising shit. Just don't do it, you know better than that.
If you can't handle mature material, either ignore it or go somewhere else.
This forum is going to have death, violence, cursing, and sexual undertones. If that bothers you, either abstain from it yourself and try to ignore others, or just go somewhere else that doesn't have that.
Don't god-mod or powerplay, ever.
In a forum with themes like this one, it can be easy to take advantage of your characters special abilities and control things that you shouldn't be able to. This will be talked about more in a thread about roleplay-specific rules.
Don't post threads where they don't belong.
If you don't know where a thread should go, ask a moderator. And if you can't wait for their answer, just go ahead and put it in the Help Center and tell the mod in your message that you put it there. They'll move it when they read your message.
There is no word minimum for roleplay posts! Write as little or as much as you'd like. It's quality, not quantity, that really counts.
Write to the best of your ability, and don't make fun of someone because they spell a word wrong.
Someone might not know the difference between "your" and "you're", but unless they ask for help, just let them be. If their post is understandable with errors, try to avoid unnecessary conflict by just ignoring mistakes instead of pointing them out.
